Why should I have a website? Because it's a great way to make yourself and your services known to new and existing patients. A recent UK government survey indicates that nearly 60% of UK households now have access to the Internet - nearly 14 million households. And although usage is most widespread amongst the younger population, around 25% of the 55-64 age group surveyed use the Internet every day or nearly every day. A website is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - it can be updated by you within minutes and can often provide information which will help potential patients to choose your practice rather than someone elses.

What does the package incldue? Our Standard package includes up to 10 standard pages of text and images plus up to 10 'special' pages such as diary page, photo album, news page etc. These pages are all selected via links at the side of the page. Our Extended package at £595 divides the site into a maximum of five areas. Areas are selected via links at the top of the page and each area can contain up to 20 pagest.

What will my website look like? Your site will contain all of the pages on this website with the exception of the 'Sample Styles' page which shows the current range of 'off-the-shelf' styles available in the standard package. All can be customised to some extent, and if necessary we can create a custom style to suit your needs.

What does 'self-managed' mean? Our Content Management System enables you to update your site whenever you please from any computer with Internet access. This avoids incurring charges for adding the initial content or the mounting cost of updating it over time. Of course, if you prefer we can update the site for you for a small extra charge.

Can I see a demo of the Content Management System? You certainly can - click on this link to open the admin site in a new window. Please note that all the Save & Update functions have been disabled in the demo site.

Are there any 'hidden costs'? No - there is an on-going cost of £150 per year from the second year onwards but other than that you really can have a website up and running for just £495. You may want to spend a little extra on having a style cretaed to suit your exact needs, or add extra pages but those features are all optional.

Who are Sitecrew? Sitecrew are a small independant website design and development company specialising in Content Management Systems. The company director is married to a Podiatrist and between them they have jointly developed this Podiatry website package.
